As a technology advocate and educator over the past three decades, I continue to strive to help others learn with technology. I have two masters degrees, one from Lehigh University in Instructional Technology and Design, and am currently is in the final year of a doctoral program in Educational Technology Leadership at New Jersey City University. I have been a leader in the field of educational technology presenting at state and national conferences regularly over the past decade while teaching at Bedminster School as a technology teacher. Honors include receiving the PBS National Innovative Educator Award and grants from Rutgers University, Best Buy, and another to bring robotics to his school district. I am Google Educator Certified, a Microsoft Innovative Educator and a Carnegie Mellon University Certified EV3 Robotics Instructor. Other highlights include receiving recognition from the New Jersey Department of Education with two Kid Tech Day awards, I have published articles for Tech and Learning and for the New Jersey School Boards Association. I am also a former public affairs fellow through the highly selective Coro Foundation, taught college courses, and continue to learn and grow in the field of educational technology.
Prior to my current employment position, I worked in a college setting providing students with learning differences reasonable accommodations, including the development of appropriate assistive technology plans. I also served six years on my local school board, where I chaired the technology committee.
In addition to my aforementioned doctoral studies, I have an undergraduate degree from Fordham University, a master's degree from Hunter College in special education, and a masters in Instructional Technology from Lehigh University.
I have lived in the Philippines Italy, France and New York prior to my collegiate studies. I currently reside in New Jersey with my family.
